In 2008 I received a call from a Blackstone Group advisor that had been asked to be a part of the Blackstone Advisory team to Anshutz Corporation in their acquisition of Xanterra Parks & Resorts.  I was asked to do the physical inspections and accompanying written reports for the Grand Canyon South Rim lodges, housing and physical plant, The Grand Canyon Railroad and associated hotel, RV Park and other facilities in Williams, Arizona, and all of the Yellowstone National Park Lodges as part of the due diligence team.
